Fit and sizing guide
Sizing
Comfora uses EU size bands rather than single sizes, so one band covers two adjacent shoe sizes. Order the band your shoe size falls into.
The ranges are not the same across the six supports, and two of the limits are worth knowing before you choose:
- HeelHold is made in EU35-36, EU37-38 and EU39-40 only. There is no EU41 and above. If you need a larger size, HeelHold is not an option. It is not something you can trim down to fit.
- The Mile in Black stops at EU43-44. If you are EU45-46, choose White.
- CloudStep covers the widest range, EU35-36 to EU45-46.
- LeatherLine, WarmStep and LiftStep run EU35-36 to EU43-44.
Can I cut them down?
Only WarmStep. Its supplier states the insole can be cut to fit, and WarmStep is the only Comfora product we say that about. WarmStep is also the only one with a measured length chart, which is published on its product page.
For the others, order the correct band rather than buying larger and cutting. We do not have supplier confirmation that they are designed to be trimmed, so we will not tell you they are.
Before you fit a full-length support
CloudStep, LeatherLine, WarmStep, The Mile and LiftStep are full-length, removable insoles.
- Take your shoe's original insole out first. This is the step people skip. Leaving it in reduces the room inside the shoe, pushes your foot upward and is the most common cause of a disappointing first week.
- If the original insole is glued in and will not come out, choose a slimmer profile. LeatherLine is the least bulky of the full-length supports.
- Put the support in heel-first and press it flat along the length of the shoe before you put the shoe on.
Fitting HeelHold
HeelHold is different. It is a three-quarter-length self-adhesive pad, not a full-length insole. It sits on top of the existing footbed, so you do not remove anything.
- Make sure the inside of the shoe is clean and dry.
- Peel the backing and position the pad under the ball of the foot and arch, before you press it down.
- Press firmly for a few seconds. Adhesive pads bond better if you leave the shoe unworn for a short while afterwards.

Not sure?
The fit quiz asks about your shoes and your size and will not recommend a support that is not made in your size band. Or compare all six.
